The name is Geoff Palmer, I live in Bellshill, near Glasgow, and have been fishing on and off for over 50 years. Originally from Battle, East Sussex, I have lived and fished all over the country.
I like the idea of a charity match Aurther I really hope it goes well for you and you get loads of people turn out. You could add a fun element to the match by say giving prices for the largest specimen roach or tench say as well as overall weight. Raffles are a great money draw as is offering people a barbeque after the match has finished. If the venue is prolific it might pay to limit the amount of bait people can bring this will have the effect of leveling the skills and not turn the event into who has the most money to throw at there sport.
And one last small but very important comment it is not a great idea to put up all your personnel imformation including mobile Nos on the internet for all and sundry to see. Tight Lines mate.

Hi to you all.......

My name is Keith. I'm 33 years old and have been involved in angling since I was 5 years old. I have been involved within the trade in some way shape or form too, since leaving school and attending fishery college etc. I now own the web site
Nuts about Carp and help to run many other web sites too. I guide on a regular basis and seem to get involved in many other aspects of angling for my trouble! I like to fish all around GB and abroad when my health allows.
I'm currently chasing a new PB Welsh 30lb+ fish and also a UK 50lb Common from a private Berkshire Water. I usually fish 4 days a week and split my time between 2 waters at the moment. I used to be heavily involved within match fishing and worked for a while at a well known fly fishing company in South Wales too.

I hope you all have a tremendously HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Kindest regards
Keith
hi guys, & thanks for the invite my names ian i'm 52 and live in swindon, i gave up matchfishing about 3 years ago and now fish waters and pegs i choose, i still mainly fish 'match style' but last year i started carp fishing with some guys i work with, nothing serious, just a good laugh (usually at each others rigs). look forward to reading members posts, and a happy new year to you all

Hi all names Ben, 16 years old been carping for around 3 years, current p.b is 28ib6oz going for that elusive 30 this year :p, happy new year and hope u all achieve ur goals for this year =)
Hi Peeps,

Dunno why, but I got invited to join this forum? So here I am! I'm 46 years old and have been fishing for about 40 of those years now. I live in Perth Western Australia, having immigrated here in 1985. I'm a mad keep carper and specimen koi hunter - only cos there are no commons or mirrors in this state! Bummer! I'm originally from Tunbridge Wells in Kent, so I've done a fair bit of UK carping and pike fishing too.

I've now had 4 koi here over twenty: 22lb14oz, 23lb, 23lb 5oz and recently the one in my avatar at 26lb 12oz. I'm feeling lucky, so 2009 could be the year I crack the thirty pound barrier for a wild koi. If [when] I succeed I will post some photos on this site.

Other best fish have been: 20lb pike, 31lb 2oz common carp, 14kg Spanish mackerel, 30kg hammerhead shark, 45kg sailfish and a 50kg estuary cod.

It's 37 deg C here today - just thought you'd like to know that, ha, ha!!!

All the best

Niblet
Hi All,

My Name is Adam Spiers, I am 37 years old and run & own a French carp fisherie called Eden's Lakes. www.edenslakes.com

My wife & I have been running this fisherie since November 2004 & built it up from nothing. A lot of hard work!!!

Even though I own my own lakes I do not get the time to fish them much, so I tend to get my buzz out of watching other anglers catch my carp, especially when they smash there PB :)

Good luck to all for the New Year & if your looking for somewhere to fish in France then please have a look at our venue.

Adam
